It’s been another hugely successful year on the field for our players but it’s just been as successful off field with many incredible achievements for our coaches!
Over the last 12 months, Keith Gibson from our 2006 Reds and Tam McCabe our Club Development Officer undertook the UEFA B License qualification which was held at the Oriam, Edinburgh. With over 90 coaches on the course from all across the world, both coaches were put through an intense 9 day course covering various practical sessions and theory lectures whilst complete 12 online assignments as part of their assessment. They then returned for their assessment earlier in the year and were delighted to be given the news they had both passed to achieve their UEFA B license. This is a very high qualification in football and recognised all across the globe and to have 2 coaches complete from within Dundee West is an incredible achievement! Well done lads!!
A special mention and thanks must also go to our key partners the East Region Scottish FA for their fantastic support and investment to our DW coaches in being able to apply and complete the course.
In addition, Keith Chalmers from our 2006 Royals recently achieved his Level 2 C License whilst Jayne Digby from our girls section achieved her Level 2 Children’s Award respectively. Both courses ran over 5 days with practical and theory elements before an assessment at the end. Well done guys fantastic achievement!!
Finally our recently appointed Club Grow Officer Liam Ross, passed his UEFA B license in 2018 and currently undertaking the UEFA A License this year! Good luck Liam!!
