We are delighted to announce Eve Webster has joined the Community Trust team as the new Full-time Community Football Officer.
Eve is no stranger to the Dundee West Community, previously spending 10 years as a youth player coming through the girls football pathway before breaking into the Women’s 1st team most recently. However, it’s been her commitment, dedication and enthusiasm for coaching within the Trusts Community Programme where Eve’s become hugely popular supporting the Trusts Wee Westies and school activities where she’s built up a fantastic relationship with many families and schools in the local area.
Eve comes on board to support the growth and sustainability within the girls & women’s football pathway, increasing girls only projects in schools and closing the final few gaps within the adult pathway whilst adding support to our life changing Extra Time programme at Craigowl PS in partnership with the Scottish FA and Scottish Government.
Tam McCabe, Trust Manager commented on the appointment saying, “Eve’s a fantastic addition and I’m thrilled to see her join our ever growing team where she will strengthen our links between schools and our girls football pathway. A key area of development has been increasing girls opportunities and to align our school projects and Wee Westies between our boys & girls and the appointment of Eve is a statement of intent.”
McCabe also added, “Eves a role model for many young people locally and our Extra Time programme has been truly life changing over the past 2 years and the need of this provision has become even greater so adding Eve into support this alongside Erin and John is great news all round for increasing capacity for families.”
I’m sure everyone connected to Dundee West would like to congratulate Eve on her appointment and wishing her all the very best in developing Dundee West’s football pathways and community programmes. I’m sure you will see her face around at the state-of-the-art Dundee Ford Centre Community Arena.
