Dundee West Royals progressed with a well earned 2-1 victory over Scone to go into the mational round of the scottish cup
Dundee West started well & took the game to there opponants and created several great chances but down to the great form of the Scone keeper the score was 0-0 at half time.
The second half started in the same pattern and 5 minutes into it Dundee West tool a deserved lead a great passing moved starting from the centre of defence took the ball out to the left when Joshua Hill beat his man and delivered a great ball into the box where Euan Porter met it perfectly at the back post 0-1.
10 minutes later a through ball caught out the home defence and Fergus Holmes ran onto it and buried a great shot into the roof of the net 0-2
From then on it was a matter of how many with chances galore being created but down to poor finishing and great goalkeeping Scone were clinging on. With 3 mins to go a rare attack from them resulted in the striker getting a shot away from 12 yds despite a great save from the keeper the ball spun agonisingly over the line 1-2.
Dundee West comfortabley seen out the remaining time to secure a well deserved passage into round 3.
