Dundee West under 15's finshed off the pre season in fine style with a comfortable victory at Charlotte St on Thusday evening.
The game started off with plenty of Dundee West possession and only a great save from the Thistle keeper preventing Ryan from scoring early on. The pattern of the game continued with West seeing plenty of the ball but the 1 thing missing was the killer touch. That changed 5 mins prior to half time when David McCaskill picked up a loose ball 30 yds out an unleased a rocket into the roof of the net to give West a deserved HT lead. 1-0
Despite the usual subs ina friendly the pattern of play continued with West dominating and 10 mins inti 2nd half got there second, a great passing move down the right resulted in James Cameron beating the thistle fullback and a great low ball across the box was dispatched by James Valentine to make it 2-0. West continued to dominate & could have had more. Ryan had the ball in the net with 15 to go but ref incorrectly ruled this out for off side. Dundee West continued to play the ball about well and comfortbaly seen the game out to end deserved victors 2-0
Overall a great team performance difficult to single any one player out, every player be it the starting 11 or subsititue played superb when on field and gives the coaches food for thought for the season ahead whch begins sunday at home to ACSC.
