Firstly, I hope everyone is well and looking after each other. As a club, we are very aware of the difficulties many of our families and members face with the current outbreak and on-going coronavrius. To try and keep our players engaged and to offer something to our community to keep people active we are delighted to annouce some exciting news for all our players to be involved with...
Dundee West FC are delighted to present our exciting NEW initative called #TheWestChallenge kicking off tomorrow morning (Monday 23rd March) where we will be able to keep interactive through social media and have some fun with all our players and families.
Over the next 2 weeks, 10 different challenges will be uploaded for our players each day onto our facebook and twitter sites covering various topics such as learning new skills, family quizzes, Dundee West player profiles and some football themed homework. These will be uploaded each morning at 9am with a description of the challenge and a visual example from our club development officers. It’s then open to all our players to try and have a go at!! The challenges will remain open until 6pm that same day before we close and prepare for the next challenge for the following day.
To take part in the challenge, firstly please remain as a member on MyClubHub. Please note an email was sent out last week with our slight adjustments with monthly fees.
Secondly, your child can then spent some time looking over the challenge before trying to complete for themselves. In our description each morning, we will let all players know what we will ask of them before inviting parents to upload there work along with tagging us @DundeeWestFC and #TheWestChallenge. Please note each challenge will vary daily from asking our players to upload a video of them attemping a skill to taking a photo of completing a quiz etc and uploading the image. It would be great for our parents to encourage and support our players through each challenge and take the time to upload onto social media.
After all our challenges have been completed, if your child has attempted them all and uploaded what details are required they will enter into the hat for one of our following fantastic prizes:
1. A local family shopping voucher
2. A brand new pair of football boots kindly donated by the club
3. A week long space at one of our next available football camps
4. 2 tickets for a Dundee Stars Ice Hockey Game
This is a brilliant way to keep all our members active and engaged with the club whilst having some fun during these difficult times. We would like to invite all our members to take part.
