Dundee West made it back to back wins in a cracking cup tie.

Dundee West started on the front foot but disaster struck after 10 mins when indecision from the keeper in dealing with a passback left a tap in for the sporting striker. Second half

Dundee West were now playing down hill & downwind and deservedly took the lead when a slight tactical alteration brough instant reward as Fergus Holmes raced down the right past 2 defenders and fired in a shot that the keeper got 2 hands to it but the power and placement was too much 2-3. Dundee West were in control but with only a 1 goal lead Sporting were never out of it. 15 mins to goal Ben Gibson rose highest to get a flick onto a corner and the ball nestled into the corner 2-4.

Sporting then went for it and the keeper Finlay Muir pulled of a great 1-1 save and despite dundee sporting having much of the ball there were no more chances and Dundee West go through.
