
Dundee West Community Trust are delighted to announce Kurt Herd as the new Player & Coach Development Officer to support and develop teams, coaches and players within the football club pathways.
Kurt who is currently a UEFA A License candidate, brings a wealth of experience having previously been in various coaching roles in Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia and most recently being a youth academy head coach at Livingtson FC.
Kurt's role will work day in day out with all coaches to create and develop new coaching curriculums, player development programmes, match analysis sessions amongst many other things to provide new content, resource and experience to the football pathway set up.
CEO Tam McCabe spoke about the appointment of Kurt, "This is a really exciting opportunity for coaches and certainly another new appointment we are delighted to get over the line. We have been working on this one for a wee while now and see huge benefits for all club volunteers investing time into the grassroots game. Kurt's knowledge and understanding of the game will add extra quality to the amazing work our volunteers put in and I'm sure will be a great assest to everyone.
